Ethos
Our genuine hope is to bring joy with our designs while creating as little negative impact on the world as possible.
We have a lot more work to do, but here is what we are currently doing to minimise our negative impact..
Metal: We use recycled and/or Fairmined gold and silver in our jewellery.
Our recycled gold is hallmarked by the London Assay Office to assure its gold content and purity.
Using 100% recycled gold is a step towards reducing the negative impact of mining on the environment and the communities affected by mining.
However, Fairmined gold is a further step towards supporting workers and communities by providing fully-traceable gold from small-scale mines. Traceability ensures that the gold has come from a source that has no link to conflict, pays a fair wage to the workers, supports their health and communities, along with protecting water supplies and having a low environmental impact.
Fairmined gold is a little more expensive than non-Fairmined gold, but it is an active force for good and gold to be proud of.
Gemstones: Our diamonds, pearls and other gemstones are sourced from conflict-free, Kimberly Process compliant sources.
Packaging: low impact, considerate packaging. We use FSC certified cardboard postage boxes, along with paper tape, paper covered jewellery boxes.
We want to be part of your special celebration, hard-earned treat or symbol of lifelong commitment.
We hope that the isle jewellery you choose lasts at least a lifetime.
